MARATHON: WEEK 3 "One Thing at a Time"
1m 2s
There are roughly 5,280 feet in a mile. One full-length marathon is 26.2 miles long. That means that you literally have to take thousands of strides to complete a marathon. It’s the same for any accomplishment; you have to take the many necessary steps to achieve your goal. You can’t do it all at once. Just like running a long race, each footprint taken is important and gets you closer to the finish line. But if you rush and try to speed up the pace, you will stumble or fall. Concentrate on each step in front of you, one at a time. As you start to knock items off your list, finishing strong will get easier and more accessible. If your focus is on everything at once, the details needed to complete things well will suffer. No one can just skip ahead to the finish line without taking the necessary steps to get there. You may have a lot to do right now to finish strong… take a moment and tackle one thing at a time.
