MOOD: Week 4 "Speak Up!"
1m 2s
Remember when you were a child, you would go to the doctor and inquire about something hurting, and the doctor would typically ask, "on a scale of 1-10, how bad is the pain?" Back in those times, you probably freely shared when you had feelings of discomfort and were more open to the idea of getting help. Here is what you should know - you are not alone in your pain. Everyone will eventually experience painful moments in their lives. I'm sure you can identify someone you're close to who have had to endure trauma. Just as the doctor would determine the measure of pain by examining the level, in the same way, you should evaluate where you are wounded. Ask yourself, where does it hurt, how bad it aches, and what do I need. One of the best things you can do is, be honest with yourself and those around you, being that the best version of you is when you're healthy and healed. Never try to avoid it, because the truth is, pain is inevitable - feel it, communicate it, and get help through it.
